Day 3 by Camille and Jessie

July 8, 2015

Today was another AWESOME day at Shakespeare for Kids! We started off the day with a warm-up game called, “Energy Ball”. Then we practiced our Shakespeare flower quotations on stage. After we sang our traditional Shakespeare songs (Heigh Ho, Tame Crane, Come Follow, and Barley Mow). Then we had an AMAZING snack from the organic Frog Hollow Farm. After we had our “junior” Olympics. Featuring shot put, discus, hurdles and standing long jump. A special guest came to this event, 2004 and 2008 Olympian, Grace Upshaw Tyler. She is currently our CEO for Shakespeare for Kids. We came inside and played our party guessing game. After, we had an awesome lunch…. Spaghetti! During lunch, our Artistic Director, Windy Margerum, called each student aside to ask them which character they’d like to be in the final night’s performance. It was another GREAT day at Shakespeare for Kids!
